Kids of all ages will have fun making these no bake winter-time treats that look like melted snowmen!
Easy Melted Snowman Chocolate Bark
Do you ever feel like a melted snowman? I do.
Lately I’ve been feeling a little sad because my son isn’t interested in baking with me anymore. It seems the only time he is interested is when his neighbor friend is over. Then both of them want to help me bake. They climb up on the counter excited to help and quickly become covered in flour and argue over who gets to do what.
My heart is happy when my house is filled with the chaos of kids – laughter, the pitter-patter of feet running through the house, the screen door opening and closing a bazillion times, their creativity, the baking disasters, and hearing ‘Mom’ for the 1,526,789th time.
It’s hard for me to accept that he just doesn’t want to help me in the kitchen anymore! He used to love climbing on the counter to help me. Now days he’s more interested in playing catch with a football or Monopoly with Dad. Is it his age? Is it a phase? Is it because he isn’t interested in what I am making? Has he, gulp, outgrown helping me in the kitchen?!
If kids in the kitchen brings you joy, too, then be sure to make Reindeer Graham Crackers, Reindeer Pretzels, Oreo Ornament Cookies, or this Melted Snowman Bark!
