Your kids will have fun making these adorable little Gnomes! They make the perfect Christmas treat for a classroom!

Gnome Cookies
I see children as one of God’s greatest gifts to us. My character has room for improvement, but I can tell you it’s better than before my son was born!
We were supposed to have more than one child. If I had it my way, we would have had a whole bus full! But when my son was 2 years old, my sister died while giving birth to my niece. The fear of that same thing happening to me made my husband not want to take the risk. And while I was scared, too, I knew the chances of that happening were slim.
So we came to the conclusion we didn’t want to risk it and decided not to have any more children.
What we should have done was given our fears to God. We should have trusted Him and continued to grow our family, but we didn’t.
God knows I need my heart filled to the brim with the chaos, love, and joy children bring. He knew I would regret the decision, but He worked things together for good as He promised and He has filled my life with other people’s children!
He has given our church over 600 children to provide beds to (read about it here), given me friends and neighbors with kids my son’s age so I can have a full house, nieces & nephews, 18 Adventurers, 7 Pathfinders, Sabbath School rooms filled with children – I am beyond blessed.
God provides. I like to call his timing procrastination when I am being impatient, but it’s truly perfect timing.

- 12 Red M&M’s

How to Make Gnome Cookie Cups
- Make a batch of 2-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cup Cookies. Let cool.
- Find the 12 best looking strawberries in the container and cut the stems out, making the smallest hole possible. Set aside.
- Place desired amount of icing in a piping bag. (Or you could use a sandwich bag with a small corner cut off.)
- Pipe the frosting over the top of the cookie cups.
- Place a strawberry on top of the icing.
- Pipe a beard starting at the bottom of the strawberry, just above the top of the cookie, and pipe down just before the bottom of the cookie cup.
- Place a red M&M into the icing for his nose.
- Repeat until all gnomes are made.

Recipe Notes:
- Cookie Cups – You do not have to use the cookie cups suggested in the recipe. You can easily swap those for store bought brownie bites, or anything else you find similarly shaped!
- Nose – You can use just about any round shaped candy for the nose. I’ve even seen someone use Reese’s Puffs Cereal!
- Strawberry Stem – Make sure to cut the smallest hole possible out of the strawberry stem. If you slice the entire strawberry top off, they will get juicy and it will run into the frosting and look messy.
