Easy Grinch Cookie Recipe
Absolutely no one relates to perfect. No one! Perfect isn’t possible, so how can anyone possibly relate to it?! It doesn’t matter how perfectly some people portray their lives, perfect doesn’t exist.
We should really be pouring our energy into being grateful and content with what we have and who we have instead of trying to live up to someone else’s definition of what life should look like!
To keep my thoughts from getting carried away into a coveting point of no return, I imagine getting a heartfelt gift at Christmas and acting like it wasn’t good enough. The person who gave me that gift would be so sad that I was so unappreciative and certainly wouldn’t want to give me any more gifts.
God has given each of us the gift of life and all of the joy and hardship that comes with it. Our blessings differ from one another because all of us have different needs. We don’t get to determine our needs, God does. And he is gracious enough to give us some of our wants, too!
Don’t let someone else’s false representation of perfection steal your happiness and appreciation for the gifts God has given you. Be real and be authentically you. There is great strength, confidence, and beauty in being perfectly imperfect!
