Make cinnamon rolls look like Christmas trees for a fun Christmas morning breakfast treat!
Easy Christmas Tree Cinnamon Rolls
The first time I made these Christmas Tree Cinnamon Rolls, I baked them according to the time suggested on the back of the cinnamon roll can. The baking time was way too long, they were too dark.
So, the second time, I reduced the time and decided to thicken the icing and it was still a bust. The thickened icing covered the zig zag of the cinnamon roll dough so I couldn’t even tell it was a Christmas tree!
By this time I was determined to get these right. So I made them a third time and went easy on the icing drizzle so you can still see the shape of the tree! Success! What a relief.
Sometimes I don’t feel like I’m good enough. I’m certain I could be doing better at most things in my life… especially parenting. The closer Christmas gets, the more I worry whatever I’ve done isn’t enough. To keep me from buying too much for my son, I curb those insufficient feelings by doing special things that make memories for him. I feel like making cinnamon rolls in the shape of Christmas trees is a parenting ‘win!’
