Easy Baked Beans Using Bush’s Baked Beans
These Vegetarian Baked Beans are brought to you by my Dad! This is his signature recipe. He’s never actually written the recipe down, he just makes it to taste. The last time he made these, he took the time to write it down so I could share the recipe with you!
All he does is level up a can of store bought beans with onion, molasses, mustard, brown sugar, and ketchup! They would go perfectly with an Egg Salad Sandwich, a Vegetarian Walnut Burger, Homemade Vegetarian Corn Dogs, or Vegetarian Sloppy Joes!

What You’ll Need:
- 1 medium Onion, Diced & Sauteed
- 2 (28 oz) cans of Bush’s Vegetarian Baked Beans
- 3 tbsp Molasses
- 2 tsp Yellow Mustard
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/3 cup Ketchup
- 4 Morningstar Breakfast Strips, Cut in 1/2″ Pieces

How to Make Canned Beans Taste Homemade
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Saute 1 medium sized diced onion in butter until translucent.
- In the meantime, combine 2 (28 oz) cans of Bush’s Vegetarian Baked Beans, 3 tbsp molasses, 2 tsp yellow mustard, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup ketchup, and 4 Morningstar Breakfast Strips cut into 1/2″ pieces into a 3 quart dish.
- Once the onions are sauteed, combine with the beans and stir everything together well.
- Bake for 1 hour.

Ingredients
- 1 medium Onion, Diced & Sauteed
- 2 (28 oz) cans of Bush's Vegetarian Baked Beans
- 3 tbsp Molasses
- 2 tsp Yellow Mustard
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/3 cup Ketchup
- 4 Morningstar Breakfast Strips, Cut in 1/2" Pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Saute 1 medium sized diced onion in butter until translucent.
- In the meantime, combine beans, molasses, mustard, brown sugar, ketchup, and cut breakfast strips into a 3 quart dish.
- Once the onions are sauteed, combine with the beans and stir everything together well.
- Bake for 1 hour.
