Honey Butter Skillet Corn with Cream Cheese
It’s sweet corn season in Central Wisconsin and we are loving it! There is a vendor at our local Farmer’s Market that sells the best sweet corn in town. Once a week I stock up and then we slather it with butter and enjoy every bite for dinner.
But sweet corn isn’t always in season. Produce from the grocery store does not taste as delicious as locally grown fruits and vegetables. But, if you are in need of a side dish in a hurry using frozen corn for this Honey Butter Skillet Corn will work just fine! The sweet, salty, creamy mixture on the corn makes you feel like you are eating corn on the cob!
You can serve corn with Saucy Vegetarian Meatballs, Vegetarian Steak Strips, or BBQ Veggie Burgers!

What You’ll Need:
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 bag (16 oz) Frozen Corn
- 2 oz Cream Cheese, Cubed
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
How to Make Honey Butter Skillet Corn
- In a skillet pan, over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp honey. Once melted, add 16 oz frozen corn and stir occasionally until cooked through.
- Add 2 oz cubed cream cheese, 1/4 tsp salt, and1/4 tsp black pepper. Stir together and let it cook, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve immediately.

Recipe Notes:
- Leftovers – This corn keeps well in a covered container stored in the refrigerator.
- Double up – This recipe easily doubles to feed a crowd.
- Crock pot – Making this corn in a skillet is faster, but you can also use a crock pot by combining all of the ingredients and heat on low heat for 1-2 hours, until the cream cheese is melted. Stir well, then turn the crock pot to warm until you are ready to serve. Note: Spray the crock pot with non-stick spray first before adding the ingredients.
