Cute, festive, and easy – the kind of Christmas treat that makes everyone smile!
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Cookies with Pretzel Antlers
I find so much joy in making cute food for kids, like these Reindeer Cake Mix Cookies! These are super easy to make and your kids, or grandkids, will have so much fun decorating them!
You can actually swap the ganache for chocolate frosting and you can use brown M&M’s instead of, or in addition to, the red M&M’s.

- 1 1/2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tsp Milk
- 2 tsp Corn Syrup
- Mini-Pretzels
- Candy Eyes
- Mini-Nilla Wafers
- Red M&M’s
How to Make Reindeer Cake Mix Cookies
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Combine 1 box chocolate cake mix, 2 eggs, and 1/2 cup oil and mix well.
- Scoop 1 1/2 tbsp balls and place onto the prepared pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Let cool.
- In the meantime, make the chocolate ganache by melting together 1/2 cup chocolate chips, 1 1/2 tbsp butter, 2 tsp milk, and 2 tsp corn syrup in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir until completely well combined and smooth.
- Spread a dollop of the mixture onto the tops of each cookie, one at a time.
- Place 2 mini-pretzels in place for antlers, 1 mini-Nilla Wafer in the lower center, and 2 candy eyes just above the wafer.
- Using a toothpick, place a small dot of ganache on the back of 1 red M&M (brown M&M’s would work, too!) and ‘glue’ it on top of the wafer.
- Repeat with remaining cookies.
- Let harden.
