Saltine Cracker Candy
I care very much about the reviews people leave on my recipes! I want the recipes I share to be trusted and easy to follow. A majority of people leave great reviews and I really appreciate their positive feedback! There are a handful of people who have left negative reviews, but they weren’t constructive so it leads me to believe they were just having a bad day. When I worked in IT we would call that ‘user error!’
But in that handful of negative reviews there have been people who have been very descriptive and while it was negative, it was helpful. Sometimes it’s been a typo in the recipe, but other times a better way was suggested. I feel just as devastated that something didn’t go well with a recipe as the person making it. They had faith in the recipe, they bought the ingredients, they spent the time to try something new… and they were disappointed.
That happened with my Christmas Crack, I got a negative review. But I also got a lot of good reviews so I was conflicted. I reached out to the person who left the bad review and told her I would test the recipe and let her know the results. She offered to update the review with a positive one if she had a good experience with the new recipe. I tested it three times and found several different things that could be better written in the recipe. This Saltine Toffee is the new and improved perfected recipe!
We live in an age where people are making money to leave reviews on Amazon purchases, so how trustworthy are reviews now? We don’t know who is giving honest, helpful feedback anymore.
And people are using AI (Artificial Intelligence) to generate bogus recipes to grow their blog faster – it’s ARTIFICAL, it’s fake!
That’s why it’s so important to me that I have a transparent relationship with my readers! I am not above making mistakes, I am a self-taught baker still learning – a real person behind the recipes I share! I want to hear your feedback – good or bad!
Speaking of honesty, I should let you know ahead of time that you will most likely have a hard time putting this cracker toffee down! Just plan on eating the entire pan! And if you think this stuff is good, then make sure to make Crock Pot Christmas Crack, Nutty Toffee Crackers, and Butter Toffee Pretzels!
