Triple Layer Cracker Toffee Bars Recipe
I feel like toffee and caramel are a Christmas tradition that just can’t be skipped. But sometimes the thought of making either can really be overwhelming. I really try hard to share recipes that not only taste great, but are easy to make! These Triple Layer Cracker Toffee Bars check all the boxes!
If it were up to my husband, we would have these available for his snacking convenience all year long! He absolutely loves them. He loves caramel, so these really hit the spot for him. What You’ll Need:
- 1 box Club Crackers
- 1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 2 cups Milk Chocolate Chips
How to Make Triple Layer Cracker Toffee Bars
- Line a 9 x 13 pan with aluminum foil, with edges of the foil sticking out, and spray with non-stick spray.
- Place a layer of Club Crackers in the bottom of the pan.
- In a sauce pan over low heat, combine 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/4 cup milk.
- Stir frequently while the butter melts. Once the butter is melted, turn heat to medium/high and let cook for 5 minutes while constantly stirring.
- When the time is up, pour 1/3 of the caramel mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
- Place a layer of Club Crackers over the caramel. Pour 1/2 of the remaining caramel over the crackers and spread evenly.
- Place a final layer of Club Crackers over the caramel. Pour remaining caramel over the crackers and spread evenly.
- Melt 2 cups milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is smooth and melted. Then spread evenly over the caramel.
- Let harden in the refrigerator.
- When ready to cut, turn upside down onto parchment paper and cut with the chocolate side down. This will give you cleaner cuts.
