Vegan Steaks
My son has shown interest in baking again! He loved climbing up on the counter and helping me when he was little, but he hasn’t shown interest in quite some time. And I think it’s because of me. When I am in close proximity to him in the kitchen I have a tendency to give too much advice instead of just letting him learn.
One day he asked if he could bake something while I was in my office working. I gave him permission and quickly discovered he works best in the kitchen when I am not ‘assisting.’ I am a huge advocate for making mistakes. I’m always encouraging people to just try whatever it is they want to do, the mistakes they make are the best teacher! I don’t know why I didn’t give him the freedom he needed in the kitchen sooner!
I’m just so relieved that his interest in baking is back. We spend so much of our lives in the kitchen, I want it to be an enjoyable experience for him!
These Gluten Steaks may be a learning experience for you if you’ve never made them, but you’ll be a pro by the second time you make them! They go really well with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Buttery Garlic Green Beans, Easy Garlic Knots, and Easy Blueberry Crisp for dessert!

- When the steaks are cool, dredge into the breading meal and fry in a frying pan with oil. Flip to fry evenly on both sides.
