An addictive saltine cracker toffee topped with a layer white chocolate packed with patriotic popping candy!
4th of July Saltine Cracker Toffee
I was at Sam’s Club and saw Hersey Bars with popping candy in them and I just knew I had to have them for the 4th of July! I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do with them yet, but figured I could dream up something later.
As I’ve been growing my selection of all things toffee, I thought 4th of July Crack would be a great addition to the collection. The chocolate bars were so much fun to make these with! Not only are they festive, but as the chocolate melted the candy popped! They would be super fun for kids to make s’mores with!
If you find yourself addicted to this stuff and need a fix, then I think you’ll love Butterfinger Saltine Toffee, Churro Saltine Toffee, and Christmas Crack, too!

How to Make 4th of July Crack
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a 10 x 15 baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick spray.
- Place 40 crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.

- Remove from the oven and let sit until the crackers settle, just a minute or two. Using a butter knife, push any crackers that are overlapping back into place. Then immediately place 8 (1.5 oz) unwrapped Popping Candy Hersey Bars randomly over the top.
- Let sit until you are able to spread the melted chocolate bars over the saltines.
- Sprinkle red, white, and blue sprinkles on top and let toffee sit until cool.
- Cut or break into pieces to serve.
