Strawberry Smoothie Recipe
Every time we go strawberry picking, I am reminded of a story my Grandma once told me. She told us that my Uncle George was so frugal he would take off the stems of the berries right in the berry patch to avoid paying for any extra weight!
That story just cracks me up! I can’t imagine how much extra time he must have spent in the berry patch picking all of those stems off to save a few pennies!
This Strawberry Smoothie Bowl is so refreshing with fresh, juicy berries! My favorite way to eat it is over a heaping pile of Easy Coconut Granola or my Grandma’s Healthy Granola!
You can use yours up with Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberry Lemonade, or Strawberry Muffins, too!
What You’ll Need:
- 4 cups Frozen Strawberries
- 1 (15 oz) can Sliced Pears + Juice
- 1 cup Granola
- Whole Fruit
- Nuts
- Seeds
- Almond Butter
How to Make a Strawberry Smoothie Bowl
- Divide 1 cup granola into the bottom of two bowls and set aside.
- Combine 4 cups frozen strawberries and 1 (15 oz) can sliced pears with juice in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour over granola, dividing equally.
- Top with additional fruit, nuts, seeds, and/or almond butter.
Recipe Notes:
- Blender – My favorite blender is a Vitamix!
- Thick smoothie – To make the smoothie thicker, just reduce the amount of pears.
- Whole fruit – You can use any fruit you’d like, such as more strawberries, banana, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries – any fruit you want!
- Nuts – I like to use almonds!
- Seeds – I like to use chia seeds, flax seeds, and pumpkin seeds!
- Nut butter – I prefer to use almond butter or cashew butter.
- Granola – You could use Easy Coconut Granola or Easy Healthy Granola in the bottom of the bowl!
