Biscuit Donuts Recipe
I got a text from a friend of mine asking me if I have ever tried making these Powdered Sugar Canned Biscuit Donuts. I had heard of them, but never tried making them before.
She has made them many times, so I was convinced I needed to give them a try. They did not disappoint!
These would be a great compliment to any breakfast, whether it’s a special birthday treat, brunch, or holiday gathering! If you love these, then I think you’ll really like Baked Cinnamon Sugar Donuts, Apple Cider Donut Cake, and Cinnamon Sugar Donut Muffins, too!

What You’ll Need:
- 1 (16 oz) can Grands Biscuits
- Oil for Frying
- Powdered Sugar

How to Make Powdered Sugar Canned Biscuit Donuts
- Pour oil in a large pan, enough so the donuts float. Heat oil on medium to high heat for about 5 minutes. Set a cooling rack over top paper towel.
- In the meantime, lay out the biscuit dough on parchment paper. Use a small round cutter to cut out the center of each biscuit.
- Carefully drop the donuts into the hot oil, watching carefully and turning when golden. Once both sides are golden, remove from the oil and set on the cooling rack.
- Repeat until all donuts are fried.
- While they cool, pour powdered sugar (start with a cup or so) into a brown paper lunch bag.
- Once the donuts are cooled, toss into the powdered sugar one at a time. Close bag and shake until well coated. Return to the drying rack and repeat until all donuts are covered.
