Cinnamon Sugar Donuts Recipe
I made a batch of these to take camping with us this past weekend and they were a hit! We snuggled up to the warm bonfire with hot cocoa in one hand and a Cinnamon Sugar Donut in the other!
We camped along a beautiful shoreline! The sun shined through the trees on us, we were close to a walking path through the woods, and the sounds of nature were active all day! We went for a hike along the beach, did some fishing, made s’mores and pudgy pies, stayed dry when it was wet and warm when it was chilly, enjoyed each other’s company, and were invaded by an army of raccoons!
Every day I spent out in God’s creation I thought, “I am blessed. So very, very blessed.” I needed that reset, the break from to do lists, schedules, and feeling like I am forgetting something. Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself for various reasons and as I lived out of a tent for the weekend I was able to let go of the stress I put on myself.
If you feel overwhelmed by life and wished things were simpler, go camping. And if you aren’t up to camping, significantly increase the amount of time you spend outside with your family!
