Mini marshmallows are stirred into melted peanut butter and butterscotch to form an easy delicious candy!
Peanut Butter Marshmallow Fudge
The English language is a mystery. For example, when it comes to writing out recipes and I say ‘let the bars sit’ or ‘let the bars stand,’ they both actually mean the same thing. I can either say let them sit to harden or let them stand to harden and both mean ‘wait until they are firm before cutting.’ But sit and stand are completely opposite words!! I don’t get it.
About the only thing I can wrap my head around right now are these Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares! These have traditionally been made with multi-colored mini marshmallows, but those aren’t always available to everyone.
It’s easy recipes like this that can help you get through the holidays! If you like these, you will love Pralines and Cream Fudge, Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark, No Bake Rocky Road Bars, Crock Pot Christmas Crack, Peanut Butter Pretzel Bark, and Polar Bear Paws!
What You’ll Need:
- 1/2 cup Butter, Softened
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 2 (11 oz) bags Butterscotch Chips
- 1 (10 oz) bag Mini Marshmallows
How to Make Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares
- Line a 9 x 9 pan with aluminum foil. Spray with non-stick spray and set aside.
- Add 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 cup creamy peanut butter, and 2 (11 oz) bags butterscotch chips to a medium size sauce pan over low heat. Constantly stir until smooth and melted.
- Remove pan from the heat. Remove 1/2 cup mini marshmallows from the bag and set aside. Pour remaining marshmallows into the peanut butter mixture. Stir quickly just until mixed. You don’t want to overmix because that will melt too many marshmallows.
- Spread mixture evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle reserved marshmallows on top and gently press in.
- Let harden before cutting.
