A sweet and salty party mix perfected with just the right amount of chewy and crunchy! This recipe is a favorite all year round!
I married a man who finds joy in sharing with me! When he finds a big ole’ chunk in his ice cream, he gives it to me because he wants me to share in his excitement of the deliciousness. If he orders dessert, he shares it with me. When we share a drink, he lets me decide what I want to drink first and then he decides for the refill. (We’re cheap!) If there is anything that he enjoys, he shares it with me! I love him for that.
I am not as good at sharing with him as he is with me. But, I am good at serving him. For example, if I am able to, the driveway is cleared of snow in the winter when he gets home after a long day of work. Or, the lawn is mowed in the summer. I look for ways to serve my husband by helping him!
We’re a good team.
Do you know what else is a good team? Every single piece of this sweet, salty, chewy, crunchy Blizzard Party Mix!

- Once the Blizzard Party Mix has hardened, break into large pieces.
Tips for Making Blizzard Party Mix
- This recipe is super easy. The most time consuming part is cutting the caramels. I cut each caramel in fours; it’s the best part so I like them to go a long way! You can cut them in half if you’d like. You can also add more than a cup if you want! I like a heaping cup of chopped caramels in my batch!
- If you don’t have time to chop the caramels, use M&M’s. It’s fun to use red and green M&M’s for the holidays!
- You can also sprinkle festive Christmas sprinkles over the mix before the chocolate hardens. Make sure the sprinkles are your last step, though. Sprinkle over the mix after you distribute it on the parchment paper lined pan.
How to Melt White Chocolate Chips
- Pour 2 cups of white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl.
- Place in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir.
- Put back in the microwave for additional 30-45 seconds.
- Remove from microwave and stir the melted chocolate until it’s smooth, no lumps. You should have a perfect melted white chocolate consistency!
How to Store Blizzard Party Mix
- Just keep the mix in a sealed container on the counter and it will keep up to a week!
I feel like I should be giving you more tips, but this recipe is so easy there isn’t much more to tell you! This recipe is a favorite all year long for football games, birthday parties, or holiday events!
