Halloween Cookies
As I looked over at my son playing with his tator tots at dinner last week, I realized he had turned them into football players! They (the tator tots) were running across his plate and landing in his ketchup for a touchdown. It was so cute and creative!
I love kids and I love making food for kids, like these M&M Cookies for Halloween! If you like making memories with your kids for the holiday’s too, then try making these Pumpkin Pie Turkey’s for Thanksgiving, Reindeer Oreo’s for Christmas, or Cake Batter Rice Krispies Treats for their birthday!

What You’ll Need:
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 3/4 cups Butter, Softened
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 tbsp Vanilla
- 1 cup Mini-Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Halloween M&M’s

How to Make M&M Cookies
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a medium size bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp baking soda.
- In a large bowl, cream together 3/4 cups softened butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and 3/4 cups brown sugar. Then add in 1 egg and 1/2 tbsp vanilla and beat until combined.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and M&M’s.
- Scoop dough into large balls (generous 1 inch size), and place onto prepared baking sheet. Press additional M&M’s into the outside of the cookie dough balls.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Let stand on the cookie sheet for a minute, then transfer to a cookie rack to finish cooling.
Recipe Notes:
- Cookie scoop – I use a 1″ cookie scoop to scoop the dough on the baking sheet, makes it super easy!
- M&M’s – You can put extra M&M’s on the outside of the cookie dough balls before, or after, you bake the cookies. If doing it before, some of the M&M’s might crack while baking. If putting in after, do it right away after removing from the oven and press into the cookie.
- Holiday’s – You can use this same recipe with any M&M’s!
- Freezing – These cookies freeze well in a freezer safe bag or container.
