Apple Pie Dump Cake with Yellow Cake Mix
I recently started a document for my son called, ‘If I Die…’
It took me about 2 years to fully understand the foundation of blogging. In that time I changed my blog name, changed the design, and made bazillions of mistakes. All while working a full-time job and making family a priority.
In the few years following I struggled with learning food photography, SEO, feeling like I would never be good enough, and using all the strength I had not to cave into sales pitches that claimed to make my life easier with courses, services, etc.
I pushed through it all, and then the the industry shifted. Viewers started gravitating toward recipes with videos. I hadn’t even mastered still photography!
One day at a time, learning one new piece of information at a time, one mental reset button at a time, one pep talk from my husband at a time… became 10 years. I woke up one day and knew it was time to go all in and make it my full time job.
I was scared, but I did it. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my friends, family, and readers! But above all, God gets the glory!
When I think about the enormous commitment and sacrifice, I can’t just leave this blog with the hopes of someone being able to figure it out. So I decided it was time to start a folder for my son so he can take over some day!
He will most likely gravitate toward easy ideas like this Apple Pie Dump Cake! If you have apple pie filling to use up, I think you’d love Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie, Cinnamon Roll Mini Apple Pies, 2-Ingredient Apple Pie Cups, Easy Apple Strudel, and Caramel Apple Poke Cake, too!
