Apple Pie Egg Rolls with Apple Pie Filling
My son loves Adventures in Odyssey! We do, too! His monthly subscription includes a magazine. It is a really great magazine packed with stories, jokes, puzzles, and recipes!
He was looking through his most recent issue with my husband and they found a recipe for Apple Pie Egg Rolls. They so badly wanted to make some so they asked me to get the ingredients.
They haven’t made them them yet, but their enthusiasm inspired me to make my own! So I made an easier version using apple pie filling.
If you love baking with apples in the Fall as much as I do, then I think you’ll really like Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie, Easy Apple Crisp, Caramel Apple Poke Cake, and 2-Ingredient Apple Cinnamon Roll Bake, too!

What You’ll Need:
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 tbsp Flour
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- 7 Egg Roll Wrappers
- 1 (21 oz) can Apple Pie Filling
- Oil for Frying
- Caramel Sauce for Dipping

How to Make Apple Pie Egg Rolls
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1 tbsp water and 1 tbsp flour. Set aside.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon. Set aside.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on parchment paper with one of the pointy ends facing you.
- Place about 1/4 cup apple pie filling at the bottom third of the wrapper.
- Take that bottom corner and fold it up over the filling.
- Dip a finger into the water/flour mixture and moisten all of the exposed edges of the wrapper really well.
- Tuck both sides (left and right) of the wrapper over the filling. Continue to tightly roll until you make a little log and everything is sealed. Set aside while you continue rolling the rest of the egg rolls.
- Fill a deep pan with oil and heat over medium heat.
- Place a wire rack over a baking sheet and set aside.
- Carefully fry an egg roll in the hot oil until golden brown, flipping to the other side when ready.
- Lift out of the oil and immediately roll into the cinnamon/sugar mixture, then place on the wire rack.
- Repeat until all egg rolls are cooling on the wire rack.
- Dip in caramel sauce if desired.
