A simple, but delightful chocolate sugar cookie cut into heart shapes for Valentine’s Day!

Heart Shaped Chocolate Sugar Cookies
My office is every kids dream and every parents worst nightmare. I have shelves from floor to ceiling packed with seasonal candy, sprinkles of every kind, chocolate chips, almond bark, chewy candy, hard candy, you name it – I have it. As crazy as it sounds, I don’t look at it as food. It’s what I use to make a living, it’s more like creative art to me.
My son and his friends however, see flashing neon ‘eat me’ signs pointing to those shelves. They really work hard to convince me how badly they need some of my candy! When they see they’ve worn me down to a ‘yes’ they go for it without hesitation!
Except they go for the weird stuff, the candy I would never get excited about – like Nerds or gummy worms. Which gets me thinking… these Valentine’s Day Chocolate Sugar Cookies don’t look all that exciting. They look pretty plain, like they would be more work than they are worth. But the crazy thing is, the simplicity of them is shockingly addicting! They are such a nice cookie, not overly sweet yet chocolatey. I love these cookies more than I thought I would!
