Easy Cheese Ball Recipe

I am often in the kitchen when my husband comes home from work in the afternoon. He always has impeccable timing, because I am usually working on something he can’t resist!

As I was telling him he has to come back later, he overheard a podcast I was listening to. I told him it takes the place of having co-workers! He said he is my co-worker, to which I laughed at… then he said, “It’s more like I’m your slave!” HA! I shooed him and his sass out of the kitchen.

He came back later to try this Cheese Ball and he couldn’t stop eating it! At one point he asked me to just hide it on him because in his words, “It’s fantastic!”

The great thing about this recipe? It works for a football game or a compliment to a holiday dinner. It’s so versatile! And you can spread it on anything you’d like – crackers, veggies, or pretzels!

What You’ll Need:

• 2 (8 oz) Cream Cheese, Slightly Firm
• 1/3 cup Sour Cream
• 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
• 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
• 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
• 1 cup Pecans, Chopped

How to Make a Cheese Ball

• In a large bowl, beat together 2 (8 oz) slightly firm cream cheese, 1/3 cup sour cream, 1 cup shredded cheese, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp onion powder until well mixed and smooth.
• Refrigerate for 1 hour to chill.
• Lay a piece of plastic wrap on the counter and put the mixture on it. Gather sides and bunch them up to shape the mixture into a ball.
• Add 1 cup chopped pecans into a clean bowl and roll the cheese ball into them, covering it thoroughly.
• Serve with crackers, pretzels, and/or veggies.
