- 3 Ripe Bananas
- 1/3 cup Salted Butter, Melted
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/2 cup Mini-Chocolate Chips

How to Make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a bread pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mash 3 bananas. Stir in 1/3 cup melted salted butter.
- Then stir in 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 tsp baking soda. Once mixed, add in 1 1/2 cups flour. Mix well and stir in 1/2 cup mini-chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and distribute evenly. Sprinkle additional mini-chocolate chips on top of the batter and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
- Let cool completely, then remove from the pan.

Recipe Notes & Substitutions:
- Nuts – You can add 1/4 cup nuts, such as chopped pecans or walnuts.
- Basic banana bread – You can use this recipe to make plain ‘ole banana bread, just leave out the chocolate chips.
- Chocolate chips – You can use mini or regular size chocolate chips, they work just the same!
- Mix-in’s – Try stirring in 1/2 cup peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips OR get wild and crazy and add them in addition to the chocolate chips!
- Don’t over bake – Check the bread at 50 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf should come out clean. If additional baking time is needed, continue to watch it closely. Over baking the bread will make it dry and this recipe should make a moist loaf of bread.
