Rice Krispie Mummies

I have a tremor in my hands. It gets worse if I try to hold my hands really still to do something detailed, like drizzle melted white chocolate on these Mummy Rice Krispie Treats!

I have to move my hands pretty swiftly to overcome my tremor so it isn’t noticeable in the detailed things I do. Sometimes it goes as planned… and sometimes it doesn’t. My hands were pretty shaky as I decorated these, the chocolate was going everywhere except for where I wanted it to go.

I got huffy about it and had planned on remaking them. But as I looked at them after the chocolate hardened, it occurred to me that mummies don’t waste a whole lot of time worrying about how they are wrapped! So making perfect looking mummies wouldn’t be authentic!

Good thing, because I need to spend my time getting ready for Halloween making Halloween Dirt Cake Pudding Cups, Spider Donuts, and Oreo Ghost Cookies!

What You’ll Need:

• 12 Store Bought Rice Krispie Treats
• 1 cup White Chocolate Chips, Melted
• 24 Candy Eyes

How to Make Mummy Rice Krispie Treats

• Unwrap 12 store bought Rice Krispie Treats and lay them on parchment paper.
• Melt 1 cup white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and melted.
• Spread a layer of the melted chocolate over the top of the Rice Krispie Treats.
• Place 2 candy eyes onto the wet chocolate, let harden.
• Melt the white chocolate again if necessary and drizzle over the top of the hardened chocolate to make the treats look like mummies.
