A decadent and delicious way to accomplish a Thanksgiving ‘pecan pie’ dessert without making a pie crust!
Ooey Gooey Pecan Pie Brownies
I can’t think of a better way to have pecan pie than in brownie form! These are all the best parts of a pecan pie and ooey gooey brownie. If you ever need a friend but don’t feel like talking, just make a batch of these Pecan Pie Brownies and all of your troubles will melt away.

What You’ll Need:
- Brownie Mix + Ingredients on Box
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
- 4 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Pecan Halves
How to Make Pecan Pie Brownies
- Preheat the oven according to the brownie box instructions.
- Spray 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray and set aside. Mix brownies according to the directions and pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for half of the time recommended on the box.
- As the brownies bake, whisk together 1 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup light corn syrup, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup butter, and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract in a sauce pan over low heat. Stir continuously.
- About 2-3 minutes before the brownies are half way through baking, add 2 cups pecan halves to the sauce pan mixture.
- Once the brownies are half baked, remove from oven and pour pecan mixture over the brownies. Spread evenly.
- Place the pan back in the oven and bake for additional 25 minutes.
- Let cool to room temperature before cutting.
Recipe Notes:
- Temperature – If you turn the stove top heat up too high for the pecan mixture you will scramble the eggs, literally. Be sure to keep the heat low enough so that doesn’t happen. My best advice is to start the temperature at low until the mixture is evenly mixed and has been over the heat for at least 5 minutes. Then turn up the heat to medium.
