A classic family favorite pasta dish made in one pan! It’s easy to make, creamy, rich, and so delicious!
Easy Fettuccine Alfredo
I just have this thing about store bought Alfredo sauce – I don’t like it. I have tried many different kinds and I just can’t do it. They are all so salty and the consistency is too thin! I prefer Alfredo sauce instead of Marinara sauce, so I am willing to go through the effort to make it instead of buy it because it just tastes soooo much better! It’s authentic.
This One Pan Fettuccine Alfredo is so easy to make and comes together in less than 30-minutes. Serve Easy Green Beans and Easy Garlic Knots with it and you have a complete meal! You will feel so accomplished without having spent hours in the kitchen and your family will thank you for a nice homemade meal!
What You’ll Need:
- 8 oz Fettuccine Noodles, Uncooked
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 cups Water
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 clove Garlic, Peeled
- 1 1/2 cups Freshly Shredded Parmesan Cheese
How to Make One Pan Fettuccine Alfredo
- Combine 8 oz uncooked fettuccine noodles, 1 cup heavy cream, 2 cups water, 4 tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 clove unpeeled garlic in a large sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil and stir frequently.
- Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes, continuing to stir frequently and checking the noodles to see if they are done.
- Remove pan from the heat and remove garlic clove.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups freshly shredded Parmesan cheese until well combined.
- Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes:
- Stirring – Stirring frequently is necessary to keep the noodles from sticking together.
- Boiling time – The boiling time may vary, so be sure to check the noodles often to see if they are done.
- Parmesan – You must use freshly grated cheese. If you use cheese that is already grated you will be disappointed with the outcome. It doesn’t melt as well and you’ll have chunky sauce instead of creamy.
- Garlic – If you love garlic as much as I do, add more!
- Original recipe – The original recipe called for 2 cups Parmesan cheese, but I find it tastes just the same using less.
- Ground pepper – You can add to taste if desired.
- Serve immediately – This is not a recipe you can make ahead. It needs to be served immediately and doesn’t work great for leftovers.
