Yogurt Covered Pretzels with American Flag Design!
My Dad reads everything. And by everything I mean the newspaper, magazines, and all the stuff we think nobody reads. The stuff he reads would put me to sleep.
But sometimes it can be pretty useful information, not just for him, but for me! He recently read that due to the tariffs, and a shift in personal spending, people are spending less money on snacks. They are either skipping pre-packaged snacks or making their own.
When I saw this cute idea for 4th of July Flag Pretzels, I knew this would appeal to those who are willing to make their own snacks for patriotic holidays this summer!
Why this Recipe Works:
- The Sweet & Salty Combo is Instantly Addictive – That contrast is a huge reason these treats are a crowd favorite!
- Visually Scream ‘4th of July’ – Simple ingredients create an American flag look.
- Make-Ahead Idea – Set quickly and store well for parties!

Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 12 Yogurt Covered Pretzels – These are the base of the recipe. They provide a crunchy, salty center coated in a sweet, creamy yogurt shell, giving that classic sweet and salty flavor combination.
- 1 cup Red Candy Melts – Melted to create the red stripes.
- 1 cup Blue Candy Melts – Used for the ‘star section’ of the flag.
- White Star Sprinkles – The finishing touch! These add the ‘stars’ detail, plus a little crunch and festive look.

How to Make 4th of July Flag Pretzels
- Lay out 12 yogurt covered pretzels on parchment paper.
- Melt 1 cup red candy melts in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval. Drizzle over the pretzels to make them look like stripes.
- Let harden.
- Melt 1 cup blue candy melts in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval. Let sit until cooled some, but still soft enough to dunk in. (If you dunk the pretzels in the melted blue candy melts right away, it will melt the red stripes.)
- When ready, dunk the top left hand part of the pretzel into it. Lay on the parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with white star sprinkles.
- Let harden.
