My sister was an over the top crafter. You would not believe the extraordinary lengths she went to with her crafting. She once roped my Mom into a year long project, it might have even been longer, of sewing tiny little felt animals and other random accessories to put on a huge wall map she and my Mom made. The plan was to teach my nephew, Ben, where each animal came from. That map that was so precious to her!

Of course, in sisterly fashion, I harassed her about that undertaking – teasing her that Ben would have to hang it in his college dorm room because it was going to take her forever to finish that massive project! She of course, continued to dream up even more projects (for my Mom) along the way.

Unfortunately, she never got to give the finished project to Ben. She passed away. I haven’t cried about it in a long time, but I am crying now as I type this.
