A cute gingerbread-like haunted house made out of Pop Tarts and Halloween candy!

Pop Tart Haunted Gingerbread House
My husband is very thorough – drives me crazy because I just wing it! Yet, I selectively wing it. I am inconsistently spontaneous. For example, I like to organize and plan as much of our lives as I can, but when it comes to directions I don’t need them. I generally just instinctively drive. If I take a wrong turn I just turn around. My husband on the other hand, has to have directions. He gets very anxious without them, especially driving through the city.
I like to do things on a whim, but my husband has to dive deep into where we are going and what we are doing if it’s something new to us. One day he and our son thought we should take a day trip to check out a store that sold everything to do with pool. If it was me, I’d jump in the car and go. But my husband did a lot of research on the place and from reading reviews discovered they give tours of how pool cues are made if you ask!
The tour was super cool! An experience we’ll always remember. Our personalities compliment each other because when one of us doesn’t feel like putting in the effort, the other does. We compensate for each other! I never would have thought a trip to the store could teach us how intricately pool cues are made!
This Halloween Pop Tart Haunted House accommodates both approaches! You can either go into decorating with a plan or just randomly place candy and see what you end up with!
It would be fun to host a Halloween party and have the kids make these! You could serve Monster Munch Chex Mix, Halloween Dirt Cake Pudding Cups, and Halloween Cookie Pizza to snack on as they decorate!
